Troubleshooting
A few testers had problems viewing these HTML Help files under
Windows 2000 - however, others had no trouble at all. We couldn't correlate
the problem with any particular version or service pack.
Your mileage may vary.
If you try to run any HTML Help file from a path containing
special characters ("#" seems to be one of the main culprits),
you might get a crash in HH.EXE. It does not hang the system, but doesn't let
you view the file, either. The only solution is to move the chm files to some other
path. This is a bug in HTML Help. Complain
to Microsoft, not Genesis Collective.
If have trouble running the HTML help files, you probably
need the latest version of HTML help. Windows 2000 does not need an update, but
previous versions of Windows might.
You can get the update from the Microsoft HTML Help
site using this link:
HTML Help V1.32 Update
If you have the correct screenshot files but still see a message
saying that you need the screenshot files, then you probably have disabled
JScript in Internet Explorer. The only solution is to turn JScript on for local
files.
