Genesis Collective Offline

Here are some ideas we have for future versions, listed in no particular order. Most of these ideas apply both to Genesis Collective and GCOffline. Time is our biggest limitation.

• Finish scanning the 600 boxes and 500 manual covers we have and add them to the database.
• Add an online user rating system so people can rate the games. In addition, we want to add a user "Top 10" lists that allow people to list their top 10 favorite games, and then link that information into the database ("This game is on 138 user's Top 10 lists").
• Include 32x game information.
• Possibly include Sega CD game information - although this won't happen anytime soon.
• We have lots more hints/cheats/passwords to add - we just need the time to type them all in.
• Work on the G3 information. There are errors and omissions that need correcting. We have obtained permission from The Scribe to do this.
• We want to add some more indexes and Table Of Contents entries for classifying games. What we envision is having sections for game types (fighters, shooters, etc.), languages, developers, year published and whatever other information we can extract from various sources. A lot of this information is in G3, but it is difficult to extract in its current form. We are working on that problem, too.
• We have yet to decide whether or not to include ROM information in the listings.
